15-year-old boy Martin Nunca lives with his mother and stepfather in Ushuaia, the world's southernmost city. His father is an anthropologist, last reported as working in Brazil. He longs to see his father and decides to start a trip bicycle trip throughout the continent of South America. Along the way, Martin encounters scenes of exploitation and destruction, and of high absurdity. And he also learns about different cultures and people, and in turn discovers himself.
