It's made as the companion piece to the director's aching portrait of exile.

The story is set in 1983 just after the end of the military dictatorship in Argentina. Floreal, who has been a political prisoner for five years, is released from prison. Rather than returning straight home to his wife Rosi, he wanders through the night of Buenos Aires. Everything in his old neighborhood has changed dramatically. He meets some people from his past - most of which are only imaginary. As Floreal aimlessly wanders, a dense fog blankets the political pamphlet covered streets, lending a dreamlike atmosphere to the night.

Floreal finds he must be strong and must continue his life where he left like his coup stricken country. Meanwhile, Rosi nervously waits in her bedroom for Floreal to return.
