Brief introduction Einstürzende Neubauten was founded as a performance art collective. Their earliest recordings are mostly unstructured, free-form noise issued on various cassettes and singles. Along with Cabaret Voltaire and Throbbing Gristle, Einstürzende Neubauten helped pioneer industrial music with a new aesthetic. Mixing the clang of percussion sounds generated by smacking metal pipes, cannisters and other objects with a screeching fury of pure industrial, the band's early work is still shocking years after it was released. |
