Albert Collins被视作德克萨斯布鲁斯吉他的代表。他深受T-Bone Walker, John Lee Hooker和Gatemouth Brown的影响，吸收了密西西比、芝加哥特别还有德克萨斯的音乐精华。不过他的音乐最大特点还是来自他的Fender Telecaster的“冰冷”声音。他有许多昵称，如“冰人”、“Telecaster大师”。1960年代中期他甚至还踏入了摇滚乐世界。

据说Collins新颖流畅的演奏影响了Jimi Hendrix，后者非常喜欢"Collins Shuffle"中的连绵音，还把它用进了"Voodoo Chile"。

Brief introduction

Albert Collins was regarded as the embodiment of the Texas blues guitar style. Deeply influenced by T-Bone Walker, John Lee Hooker and Gatemouth Brown, he absorbed the sounds of Mississippi, Chicago, and especially Texas. But his music features an "ice-cold" sound from his Fender Telecaster. He had many nicknames such as the "Ice Man" and "The Master of the Telecaster". In the mid-'60s Collins even broke into the rock 'n' roll world.

Collins' fluid, inventive playing is said to have influenced Jimi Hendrix, who liked his sustain in the song "Collins Shuffle" so much that he used it on "Voodoo Chile."
