Set in a Parisian suburb where sealed off from modern life, the contemporary world begins to intrude via radio reports of terrorism, foreigners snapping up property and greedy relatives settling in. Events come to a head when Sophie, the rambunctious cousin of the chateau's owner, passes away... creating a battle among the potential heirs for her money and possessions.
