Brief introduction

Kittie was born when Mercedes Lander, who is sister to the lead singer Morgan Lander, and Fallon Bowman met in a high school gymnastics class. Four teenage girls play together with a love of heavy metal, a passion to rock. They were just 15 and 17 years of age when their first CD was released. Inevitably their gender was, and in many cases still is, the focal point of the band, as all-female bands are rare in metal in general and particularly so for nu-metal.
