前卫表演艺术家、歌唱家、作曲家Diamanda Galás出生在希腊东正教家庭。她最出名的就是她那富有个人特征的嚎啕，还有四个八度的音域。她的声音嘶哑而且具有爆炸性。Galás的作品大部分专注于痛苦、绝望、罪孽、不公等主题。她创造了让人难忘的孤寂和救赎的福音，令听众感到震撼。她说，“仇恨力可移山，愤怒被激发了。”

Brief introduction

Avant-garde performance artist, vocalist and composer Diamanda Galás is the daughter of Greek Orthodox parents. She is noted for her distinctive wailing, four-octave vocal range. Her voice is husky, volatile. Galás' works largely concentrate on the topics of suffering, despair, condemnation and injustice. She creates haunting gospels of desolation and redemption that leave the audience shaken. She said, "Hate can move mountains; anger is fuel."
