Brief introduction

Tortoise has roots in Chicago's fertile music scene. These amazing instrumentalists have been influential worldwide since early 1990s. Tortoise was among the first American indie rock bands and revolutionized this genre. Their music defies easy categorization. It incorporates styles closer to Krautrock, dub, minimalism, electronica and various jazz styles but sound totally unique.
