Brief introduction

  Jennifer and her partner, Oren Bloedow, comprise the mysterious noir rock trademark of Elysian Fields (the Elysian Fields, in Greek mythology, are the land of happiness to which all the blessed dead are sent). The music is neither as mainstream as Cowboy Junkies nor as doom-obsessed as Mazzy Star. It's quite often lovely and deliberate, made more so by Charles' excellent voice, but it's not necessarily easy music. Instead, it's cerebral. Elysian Fields is way different from either of those bands, as Jennifer differs from either woman.

 Elysian Fields transports you, as all great poetry does, immersing you in a world of lilac nights and uneasy moonlit oceans, smoky piano bars and cool embraces.
