Ego Likeness这个名字来自Frank Herbert的经典科幻小说《沙丘》，乐队的创建者是艺术家Steven Archer和作家Donna Lynch。他们于1999年结婚，现在跟两只无毛猫一起生活在马里兰州。乐队起初是实验和暗黑trip-hop风格，渐渐演变成了哥特、电子、摇滚与trip-hop和仙音。他们的音乐毫无疑问是充满活力的，时常还伴随着摇滚吉他以及令人窒息的感性女声。

Brief introduction

Ego Likeness, whose name taken from Frank Herbert’s classic science fiction novel Dune, was created by artist Steven Archer and writer Donna Lynch who have been married since 1999 and currently live in Maryland with two hairless cats. Beginning as an experimental/ dark trip-hop project the band gradually turns into a gothic/electronic/rock crossover combined with trip-hop/ethereal influences. The music is undoubtedly energetic, often with rocking guitars and breathy female vocals overflowing with emotion.
