Chinese Theatre最初成立的时候 有四个成员。在1980年代，浪漫地使用中文、日文是一件很酷的事。自2002年起Chinese Theatre就变成了Krister Pettersson一个人的乐队。他开始在合成器流行音乐界产生影响。但他自己无法演唱，所以请了许多歌手为他助阵。乐队的音乐略带矛盾色彩地混合了1980年代中期的合成器流行音乐和当代歌曲。

Brief introduction

Chinese Theatre started as a band with four original members. In the 1980s it was cool to flirt with Chinese, Japanse words in a romantic way.  In 2002 Chinese Theatre became a solo project of Krister Pettersson. He is starting to make quite the impression within the synthpop community. But he can't sing by himself so he recruited numerous vocalists to accompany his retro tinted soundscapes. The music slightly ambivalent mixes mid-1980s synthpop and contemporary song structure.
