The Soil Bleeds Black是由双胞胎兄弟Mark和Michael Riddick建立的。

1994年在TSBB尝试了中世纪民谣风以后，两兄弟将Eugenia召至乐队中，后者为乐队带来了有机的、古色古香的气氛。他们早先的作品和文字总是使用大量的合成器和模拟乐器，近来则更多地采用了传统乐器以创造出更加民谣化的声音。他们的音乐有一个共同点，就是都混合着从欢愉到忧郁的各种情感因素。

Brief introduction

The Soil Bleeds Black was found by twin brothers, Mark and Michael Riddick.

In 1994, after TSBB took on a sound of pure medieval folkloric fashion, the brothers added Eugenia to their ranks. Eugenia's vocal contribution helped to bring an organic and archaic atmosphere to the band. Their earlier works incorporated a strong use of synthetics and simulated instrumentation whereas more recent works have taken the approach of utilizing traditional instruments to create a more folk sound. The music remains a common blend of varied emotional attitudes ranging from the jovial to the melancholic.
