Estampie原先是指13、14世纪最古老的一种纯乐器的音乐形式，一般由三到七节组成，称为puncta。它同时也是中世纪的一种舞蹈风格。

Estampie乐队使用了大量传统乐器，包括各种各样的木管乐器和弦乐器。乐队的大多数成员都受过古典音乐的训练，还各自学习过一些东方和欧洲民间音乐的课程。

Brief introduction

The original meaning of Estampie is an oldest purely instrumental forms of the 13th and 14th centuries which were constructed in three to seven separate sections called puncta. It's also a style of mediaeval dance.

The band Estampie use a lot of traditional instruments, include all manner of woodwind and stringed instruments. Most of the members have a classical training and many private lessons in Oriental and European folk music.
