Brief introduction

Otep, led by vocalist Otep Shamaya, is poetry of beasts. Rumors of cannibalism and dabbling in the mystical arts helped add to their mysterious image, and they found themselves being complimented by the likes of Marilyn Manson himself for their antics. They break ground, break rules, and also break sound barriers. Their music is intense, dark, dangerous, uncompromising, intelligent, mysterious, poetic, out of control, frightening, original, insane, creative, passionate, essential, brutal and free.
