Brief introduction The band Isis, whose name is taken from an ancient Egyptian goddess revered as a symbol of fertility, was originally formed by Hydrahead Records owner Aaron Turner. It combines ambiance, atmosphere, and aggression to form a unique style of heavy music which leans away from the traditional elements of choruses, verses, repetitive vocals or riffs. Isis' vocals are a mix of shouting, screaming and singing. |
