Brief introduction

Dope is a New York-based band led by brothers Edsel Dope and Simon Dope, children of divorced parents. Their debut album, Felons and Revolutionaries, was released in September 1999. In their music, pounding, hard-charging percussion and rumbling, near atonal guitars are garnished with the occasional electronic flourish to form a base for Edsel's guttural yaup and rudimentary singing.
