Brief introduction In Finnish Korpiklaani means "Forest Clan". Korpiklaani was formed by Jonne Järvelä with the former name Shaman. Upon discovery of the high profile Brazilian act bearing the same name the band switched title to Korpiklaani during July of 2003. The band is steeply rooted in Finnish folk and language. Their musical style ranges from the bagpipe-and-guitar paean to the "typical" trollish metal, to the Lightning era Metallica, etc. |
