乐队的名字来源于两个拉丁词语，大致意思是“夜晚的奥秘”。

Nox Arcana专门创作基于哥特小说和经典恐怖文学的概念专辑（每张专辑总是有21首歌）。乐队是哥特艺术家Joseph Vargo涉足音乐的产物，他从事专辑封面以及书籍海报等等的创作，还负责每张CD的插画、迷人的故事情节和隐藏的谜题。

他们的音乐曲调优美、忧悒多变，围绕着旋律主线展开。乐器种类很多，比较典型的有钢琴、铃铛、小提琴、钹、管风琴、诗琴、大键琴、定音鼓以及其他打击乐器等。

Brief introduction

The band's name is derived from two Latin words, which roughly translate to "mysteries of the night."

Nox Arcana specializes in concept albums (always 21 tracks in each album) based on gothic fiction and classic horror literature. It is the musical manifestation of gothic artist Joseph Vargo, who has created an extensive portfolio of work ranging from album covers and books to posters, and is also in charge of the artwork, captivating storylines and hidden puzzles that accompany each CD.

Their music is melodic and moody, focusing on a dominant melody line. The diverse instrumentation typically includes piano, bells, violin, cymbals, pipe organ, lutes, harpsichord, timpani drums and other percussion.
