Brief introduction Moonspell was formed in 1988 as Morbid God. In 1992, the band changed its name to Moonspell. The band was really happy about the signing to Century Media in 1995, and begun experimenting a lot with their music. The sound became darker and richer, and the lyrics deadly and erotic. They affirms poetry and art as accomplices to their music by combining the age-old tradition of storytelling with the equally ancient talent of true musicianship. They create a style of metal that incorporates elements of goth and prog rock with more traditional heavy sounds. |
