简   介

Guru Guru Groove 乐队（后来简化为Guru Guru）在1968年由瑞士打击乐师Marcus Neumeier，贝司手Uli Trepte和前Agitation自由吉他手Ax Genrich创建，他们制作了混合着迷幻、幽默、即兴、拼贴技巧的超现实作品。此三人在后来乐队存在的十年中一直是核心人物，而许多其他乐手也曾参与进来。他们并非创立了一种全新的电子音乐，更多的是学习了Jimi Hendrix 和 Frank Zappa。他们音乐中大量的乐器成分使得乐队在后来被称为Krautrock风格。

Brief introduction

Founded in 1968 by Swiss percussionist Marcus Neumeier, bassist Uli Trepte and former Agitation Free guitarist Ax Genrich, the Guru Guru Groove Band (later shortened to Guru Guru) offered a surreal mixture of psychedelia, humour, improvisation and collage technique. While these three men remained the core of the band throughout its ten-year existence, a number of other musicians passed through the band's ranks. They were taking inspiration from Jimi Hendrix and Frank Zappa rather than inventing a whole new kind of electronic music. Their largely instrumental work set the group squarely within the boundaries of what is commonly referred to decades later as Krautrock.
