This film is an exploration of how violence makes its way into a typical American high school. It takes a completely unflinching look at highschool life today while providing no concrete answers.
Eric and Alex are two close friends who are students in a well-to-do suburb of Portland. The two boys are fascinated by Nazi iconography, enjoy violent video games, tentatively explore homoerotic desires, and coolly begin to make plans for an armed ambush of the school. What causes incidents like that? Bad Parenting? Psychotic Kids? Peer pressure? Parental pressure?Or is it something inherent in all human beings that has just been popping up more and more often? It's up to you to decide.
