The protagonist of this documentary-like film is a middle school teacher, Sören Mårtensson, whose classroom occupied by half-grown children. He is so weak and acts as a disillusioned soul trying desperately to keep control of his class that has gone askew. He valiantly tries to bridge the generation gap at the same time alternately loving and hating his job and his students.

Although Sören often sides with his students, his position of authority forces him to make unpopular decisions. The school system and the uninvolved parents synchronously demand he enforce the rules of the institution. He tries to accommodate himself with the expectations and do what he considers he should do, but all the time the social situation overwhelms him and there always seems to be an aspect of impersonation in him.

The tormented teacher is ultimately pushed to the limit by his obnoxious students.

这部纪录片般的电影主角是一名中学教师Sören Mårtensson，他的课堂上全是半大孩子。他生性软弱，并不抱幻想地试图让已经走偏的班级重回正轨。他鼓足勇气去尝试弥合代沟，与此同时在对工作和学生的爱恨中挣扎。

虽然Sören经常与学生站在同一立场，但他的权力地位迫使他做出不受欢迎的决定。学校体制和作壁上观的家长也要求他加强规章制度的执行力度。他想做那些想做并且应该做的事，可是一直受社会形势所压制，似乎只能活在装扮中。

倍受折磨的老师终于被讨厌的学生推向了极限。
