An absurd story set in a small town in Kaliningrad. A government investigator was sent in to look into a corruption case in the local political authority. Moreover, a twin and his brother live as it were in a different world. The first twin lost his career and was forced to support himself by selling kerosene as well as the second twin became an important figure in the activities of his local soviet. Then we find everything happening is absolutely surreal.
The film is stuffed with rich imagery and political allegory.
发生在加里宁格勒的一个小镇上的荒诞故事。一个政府调查员被派去调查一宗关乎当地政治权威的贪污案。同时还有两位双胞胎兄弟，过着截然不同的生活。第一个双胞胎被迫卖煤油来维持生活，第二位则是当地苏维埃活动中的重要角色。然后展现在我们眼前的一切都变成了彻头彻尾的超现实。
电影充满了丰富意象与政治寓言。
