Miklós Jancsó's confessions about his life, his career, films, politics, theater, and love, based on his conversations with Péter Bacsó. It is set during a turbulent era of disquiet, fear, persecution and terror, which permeates every corner of post-WWI Hungarian society.

In 1919, after just a few months of communist rule the Hungarian Republic of Councils falls victim to a nationalist counter-revolution. The police and the army are rounding up the insurgents, and  István Cserzi, a former soldier of the Red Army is tracked down to a rural area. Discovering that the women are secretly poisoning the mother-in-law and the husband, the legal owners of the farm, István must make the most difficult decision of his life.

Miklós Jancsó关于生活、职业、电影、政治、戏剧以及爱情的告白，是以他和Péter Bacsó的谈话为蓝本的。故事发生在一战后匈牙利的混乱时期，不安、畏惧、迫害和恐怖充满每个角落。
