One of the most mysterious pioneer films and early iterations of the New German Cinema. It points up countless facets of this world and probing to determine what may lie beneath the surface.
16 Documents which assembled from material Khittl and his cameraman Ronald Martini shot in 1959-60 are presented and discussed. Most of the short films feature eccentric voiceover commentaries. They have been put in a blender and then cobbled together with only vaguely coherent results. Subtext and meta-text run on parallel tracks.
