The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari
It is a product of the Expressionist style popular in Germany at the time.
Dr. Caligari arrives in town with a mysterious sideshow exhibit...a somnabulist named Cesare who tells the future. But also a series of murders coincides with Caligari's visit. Francis' best friend Alan is one of the victims. Francis suspects Caligari, but he is ignored by the police. Investigating on his own, Francis seemingly discovers that Caligari has been ordering the somnambulist to commit the murders.
