Designed by Nazis, for Nazis, and about Nazis. The film covers the events of the Sixth Nuremburg Party Congress.  There are those who will argue that the film is more Nazi propaganda than a historical document, it also can't be denied that from a simpler perspective it is a masterwork of cinematography and documentary filmmaking.

When Hitler wanted a film of his triumphant arrival as Germany's most powerful leader in the early 1930's he chose Leni Riefenstahl as the director of his triumph during the Nazi Party's mass meetings in Nuremberg. In reality, Triump des Willens shows historians how the Nazi state drew in the masses through propaganda and also how Adolf Hitler had a unique and terrifying ability to entice crowds to his beliefs by the very power of his words.
