In September 1984, ASIFA (Association Internationale du Film d'Animation) officially requested Hiroshima to hold an international animation festival. The Hiroshima International Animation Festival began its journey in 1985 and took place every other year. It is a comprehensive animation film festival. Works of both commercial and independent makers are screened here. |
