Pierre-Jules Renard or Jules Renard
(Feb. 22, 1864-May 22, 1910) was a French author and member of the Académie Goncourt, most famous for the works Poil de carotte (Carrot
Top, 1894) and Les Histoires Naturelles (Nature Stories, 1896). His
prose, stripped of superfluous words, influenced later French writers
who found in it a corrective to the indiscriminate accretion of detail
that was a tendency of the Naturalists who preceded him.
Luigi Serafini (Aug. 04, 1949-) is an Italian artist, architect and
industrial designer. He was born in Rome. During the 1980s he worked as
an architect and designer in Milan. He also worked for the Italian
television and for several movie productions.
